SUMMARY:Brisbane Northside Glider Monitoring
DESCRIPTION:Join us for to monitor nest boxes as part of KBCB Northside Glider Monitoring Program. Gliders are an iconic species known for their unique ability to glide effortlessly through forests using skin membranes between their limbs. \nWe will be undertaking monitoring at two of project locations: \n\nArbor Street Park\, Ferny Grove\nDorrington Park\, Ashgrove.\n\nMeeting at Arbor Street side of park we then venture into park to monitor nest boxes using our wireless fauna camera to peek inside nest boxes and tree hollows\, which also provides a non intrusive method of checking if any fauna are using boxes. The LED illuminator is wildlife eye safe. \nOnce nest boxes are checked at Arbor Street Park we will then travel to Dorrington Park to continue monitoring remaining five nest boxes. It is optional for volunteers to continue this section of monitoring. \nThis event is suitable for nature enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a seasoned wildlife enthusiast or simply curious about nest boxes\, please come along to hopefully learn a few things about fauna that uses your local bushland. \nAttendance is limited to 20 people for this event so please RSVP your attendance through purchasing a ticket using link here. \nNote: please dress appropriately for event and bring along any necessary equipment such as sturdy footwear\, insect repellent\, appropriate clothing and be sure to reserve your spot in advance.
