Citysmart Neighbourhood Fair - June 15

This was going to be held on Sunday 1 June 2008 but has had to be re-scheduled to Sunday 15th from 10am-1pm at Keong Park Appleby Road, Stafford.

The Citysmart Neighbourhood Fairs are encouraging residents to come and learn about their local 
neighbourhood, local communities, environmental and sustainable issues and to green up their back
yards whilst enjoying free entertainment.

Special guests are Sean Fitzgerald and Lish Fejer from ABC's Carbon Cops. They will be giving a stage 
presentation and answering questions from the public.

Local community groups, exhibitors and the Brisbane City Council will have stalls and experts to 
answer your questions on their role in the community. A special display stall is expected to be 
conducted for Kedron Brook Catchment Branch and Network. (Assistance with running this stall would

There is a free plant give away for the first 350 eligible local residents (A4 flyer with a 'tear off' 
voucher in your local Quest newspaper two weeks prior to the event). Additional vouchers may be 
available on the day with proof of local residence required.

The tear off voucher entitles the eligible local residents to a plant pack containing 12 starter plants. 

This voucher is also the entry into the competition, prize draw occurs at 12:15 pm.

Residents are encouraged to bring their children along as there will be a wildlife show, jumping castle, 
kid's activity marquee and other activities to entertain them.

Enjoy a free sausage sizzle and ice blocks. Coffee and soft drinks are for sale at the event.
