If you've got Broadband and a voluminous mailbox, you might prefer to download the larger file versions (when available) for better viewing of graphics. However, the smaller PDF file is a more thrifty way of doing it with the traditional modem and "hotmail" mailbox!

To download a file, you will need the correct type of software loaded on your computer, e.g. a recent version of Microsoft Word for DOC files, a Graphics viewer for JPG files or the Adobe Reader for PDF files. You may even need to buy the software, as for the DOC files... or to download the relevant free software of Adobe Reader from their website, http://www.adobe.com, to be able to read the PDF files.

Bear in mind that the larger the file, the longer it will take to download it! For example, a file 10-30 Kb will download in seconds but a 300 -500 Kb PDF or JPG file will take at least a few minutes depending upon the speed of your computer processor and your modem. When your file download is finally complete your browser will call up the required software to allow you to view it (if you have the software!).
