Why contact us?

We'd love to tell you about Kedron Brook Catchment Branch, Kedron Brook Catchment Network and our activities along the Brook and how you can join us as members, volunteers or perhaps just share some of your own experiences and skill at a meeting.

Details given below tell you who we are, how you can contact us by post, email or by using the contact form. The latter multichoice form can be used as a query, comment or feedback.

Please keep in mind that we can't always answer technical questions about environmental matters along Kedron Brook Catchment. We are a non-commercial organisation run by volunteers in our spare time. They have experts and trained personnel at universities, museums, libraries and the commonwealth, state and local government bodies to give advice on the laws of the land and about our natural environment.

For example, it's much more efficient for people to report pest species to the proper authorities. There are places you can do this, say:

through the web site of the Department of Primary Industries at 'Report a Pest Fish sighting' or,
for other pest animals and weeds report to the relevant council. This would be Brisbane City Council by phone, (07) 3403 8888, or Moreton Bay Regional Council by phone, (07) 3205 0555, depending upon the location within the catchment.

Who we are:

We are the Kedron Brook Catchment Branch, a branch of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland (Inc.). (Our society is also known as Wildlife Queensland, or simply WPSQ, pronounced "wip-skew".) We run this web site on behalf of the Kedron Brook Catchment Network in Brisbane, Australia.

For the business-minded, our legal name is Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland Kedron Brook Catchment Branch (Inc.) and our ABN is 67 730 668 521
