Monthly Bird Observation Walk – February

February 1 @ 6:30 am - 8:30 am
Monthly Bird Observation Walk – Kalinga Park to Keith Bowen Wetlands
Join keen twitchers of Kedron Brook Catchment Branch in their monthly bird observation walk at Kalinga Park to Keith Bowden Wetlands. We expect to walk 2 hours depending on bird sightings and group pace.
Meet in car park at entrance to Kalinga Park, off Park Avenue. Follow walkways to Keith Boden Wetlands. Return to Kalinga Park and follow north bank walkway down to bike/walkway bridge near Toombul Terrace. Back to cars.
We’ll go ahead in light rain so bring a raincoat if forecast is wet. Check event page morning of for any cancellations.
What to bring:
– enclosed, comfortable shoes (path can be uneven, grassy or muddy near wetlands).
– sun-safe clothing (hat, sunglasses, long sleeves/pants).
– bring your own binoculars if you have them (highly recommended for spotting birds!).
– water bottle and snacks.
– optional extras include camera/phone for photos, notebook for recording sightings, insect repellent, sunscreen.
Easy-moderate flat walk. Great for waterbirds, bush birds and more in this lovely urban wetland and park habitats.
Contact enquiries@kedronbrook.org.au for more information and to confirm your attendance.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
