KBCB – July Monthly Bird Walk

Twelve enthusiasts gathered on a fine partly cloudy morning by Nundah Cemetery entrance on Hedley Avenue in Nundah. From here we made our way around Cemetery, down Hedley Rd into Albert Bishop Park and onto Kedron Brook. We also welcomed Gerry Woodruff and Bernadette Crook into group.

A total of 43 species was identified over morning.

A sharp-eyed Esther Townsend spotted a Great Cormorant at Kedron Brook and once again we identified a Black-shouldered Kite in same tree beside brook as last year, which we all got to observe and enjoy.

A few photographs attached below from morning walk.

Our next bird walk is in Grange/Alderley on Sunday 3 August, meeting at 7:30am in Mornington Street just down from intersection Longsight Street.

Happy Birding!
